We have officially started our work in Yanahuara, although it wasn't really too much of a start. For the 18th and 19th of November we planned to show a film called "Out of the Darkness". It's about a man from Colombia who was in the drug cartel for some time but God changed him dramatically. Since Yanahuara is a residential area we had to go to the Municipality and ask permission. We were granted permission for the 18th and 19th from 6pm to 8pm. We went on the 18th showed the movie and preached afterward. We had a few technical problems but all in all it went well. The only thing is that there was not too many people there. So the next day we decided to promote the event a little more, this time there were more people. At the end we made six contacts, three from Yanahuara, one from Ciudad Municipal and two others from a different district. After calling, we are down to two contacts in Yanahuara, so next weekend we are planning to go out again to show the movie but this time with more promotion.
Since Yanahuara is a residential area we realize that it is going to be a lot harder to enter with the Gospel. Please pray that God softens the upper class of Yanahuara and guides Sammy and I to those who He wants to hear the Gospel.
